Welcome to Outlook Notes ("the Add-in", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), a Microsoft 365 Outlook add-in developed and operated by Xtreme Thoughts ("Company"). By installing, accessing, or using Outlook Notes, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Add-in.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Xtreme Thoughts governing your use of the Outlook Notes add-in.
Outlook Notes is a task-pane add-in for Microsoft Outlook that allows users to:
The Add-in is designed to operate entirely within your Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Notes are stored as extended properties on your mailbox items and do not leave your Microsoft 365 environment.
To use Outlook Notes, you must:
Outlook Notes uses Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) for sign-in. You authenticate with your existing Microsoft 365 credentials. Xtreme Thoughts does not store your Microsoft password or manage your identity.
You agree to use Outlook Notes only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:
Outlook Notes stores all note data as Extended Properties on your Microsoft Outlook mailbox items, using the Microsoft Graph API or Outlook JavaScript API. This means:
The Add-in may collect limited diagnostic and usage information (such as anonymous error logs) to improve the service. This is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You are responsible for the content of your notes. Do not store sensitive personal data, credentials, passwords, or confidential information that is not appropriate for storage within your Microsoft 365 mailbox.
The Outlook Notes add-in, including its source code, design, interface, branding, and documentation, is owned by Xtreme Thoughts and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Add-in.
You retain all ownership of the note content you create. By using the Add-in, you grant Xtreme Thoughts no rights to your note content — it stays in your mailbox and is not accessible to us.
"Outlook Notes", the Outlook Notes logo, and "Xtreme Thoughts" are trademarks or service marks of Xtreme Thoughts. You may not use these marks without prior written permission.
We aim to provide Outlook Notes on a continuous basis but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Add-in's functionality depends on the availability of Microsoft 365 and Outlook services, which are outside our control.
We may update, modify, or discontinue the Add-in or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. Updates may be deployed automatically through the Microsoft Office Add-ins distribution mechanism.
The Add-in is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Xtreme Thoughts does not warrant that the Add-in will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or free of bugs or other harmful components. You use the Add-in at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Xtreme Thoughts and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Add-in, including but not limited to:
In no event shall Xtreme Thoughts's total liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid, if any, to Xtreme Thoughts in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Xtreme Thoughts and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
Outlook Notes is built on and requires the Microsoft 365 platform. Your use of Microsoft 365 and Outlook is governed by Microsoft's own terms of service and privacy policy, which are separate from these Terms. Xtreme Thoughts has no responsibility for Microsoft's services, policies, or any changes Microsoft makes to its platform.
Links to third-party websites in our documentation or website are provided for convenience only. Xtreme Thoughts does not endorse and is not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party websites.
You may stop using Outlook Notes at any time by uninstalling the Add-in from your Outlook account. Upon uninstallation, note data stored as Extended Properties in your mailbox remains in your mailbox under your control.
Xtreme Thoughts reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Add-in at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 13 (Governing Law) survive termination.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the jurisdiction of Xtreme Thoughts's registered office.
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at the address below and giving us 30 days to address your concern.
Xtreme Thoughts may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Add-in after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
