Welcome to Outlook Notes ("the Add-in", "we", "us", or "our"), developed and operated by Xtreme Thoughts. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the Add-in handles your information.
By installing or using Outlook Notes, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Add-in and discontinue use. This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
Xtreme Thoughts is the developer and operator of Outlook Notes. We are responsible for this Privacy Policy and your experience with the Add-in.
We want to be clear: Xtreme Thoughts does not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data, notes, or email content.
We do not operate any database or backend server that receives or holds your information. Everything you create or save within Outlook Notes stays entirely within your own Microsoft environment — we never see it, touch it, or store it.
All data associated with your use of Outlook Notes — including any notes you create — is stored and managed within your own Microsoft 365 environment. Microsoft is responsible for that data storage, not Xtreme Thoughts.
We do not manage, monitor, or have access to data held within your Microsoft account. Your data is subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement and the terms of your Microsoft 365 subscription.
Outlook Notes acts only as an interface — it allows you to view and manage your saved notes within the Microsoft environment. We do not move your data outside of that environment at any point.
To use the Add-in, you sign in with your existing Microsoft 365 account. Authentication is handled entirely by Microsoft. Xtreme Thoughts does not receive, store, or have access to your Microsoft password or credentials.
Outlook Notes does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics or advertising services. We do not track your behaviour, usage patterns, or activity within the Add-in.
Outlook Notes runs within the Microsoft 365 platform. Your use of Microsoft services is governed by Microsoft's own terms and privacy policies, which are independent of this document. Xtreme Thoughts is not responsible for Microsoft's data practices or any changes Microsoft makes to its platform.
We do not share your data with any other third parties.
Since your data resides entirely within your Microsoft 365 environment, its security is governed by Microsoft's enterprise-grade protections. Xtreme Thoughts does not hold copies of your data and therefore cannot be the source of a data breach affecting your notes or email content.
Outlook Notes is intended for use by individuals aged 18 or older with a valid Microsoft 365 account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has accessed the Add-in, please contact us.
Because Xtreme Thoughts does not store your personal data, most rights regarding your data — such as access, correction, deletion, and portability — are exercised directly through your Microsoft 365 account and Microsoft's tools.
You can stop all data access at any time by uninstalling the Add-in from your Outlook account. If you have any privacy-related concerns, please contact us and we will assist where we can.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Add-in after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
